The folks at the excellent real estate blog, Seattle Bubble, have just launched a fake news site called Naked Loon, "Puget Sound's Most Spectacular Newspaper." And it's hilarious. There are stories like "Boeing to build Air Force tanker anyway" and "Woman shocked to learn Fremont statue not John Lennon" (pictured). One of the site's beta testers says it's "Almost Live" meets "The Onion," which is a perfect way to explain it. Now you just have to explain to your boss why you're spending half your day reading it.

We actually have a friend who had moved from California and heard about the Lenin statue. When we took her to see it, she stared silently at it for several seconds before saying, "Um, I was expecting John." Hilarious!

Hey, thanks for the mention! Glad you're enjoying it. Any chance The Naked Loon could get added to the "News" section here on Citizen Rain? Perhaps with a (parody) tag after the title of our posts or something?

Hey Ash, I'd love to, I just have to figure out how to do that on the tech side of things. Great site!
