South Lake Union blogger Rick says the houseboat featured in "Sleepless in Seattle" has just hit the market. The pricetag? $2.5 million.

That will get you Lake Union views, four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and 2,720 square feet - and bragging rights, of course.

$2.5 for something that could sink?! I'd much rather buy a new house on Lake Washington like the ones Conner Homes are building in Renton at the old Barbee Mill. For that price tag you can get 3200sf of brand NEW construction with high-end finishes.

See my blog and video on this dated April 21st.

Since this film was made 15 years ago, this property has become one of the most well-known places in Seattle to people who have never been here. The movie has gained kind of a "cult-chick-flick" status and will definitely be a trophy home for someone.

It's a terrible thing.

i agree with the other guy.. if i was to spend that kind of money on a place. it would be on a beach house or somewhere it would not sink.. the boat house is old and who knows if it will last much longer.
