The St. Paul Saints are putting their own twist on the popular bobblehead doll promotion, in a nod to one of the most notorious Minnesota stories last year. At this Sunday's baseball game, they're giving 2,500 fans the Sen. Larry Craig
'Bobblefoot,' a miniature bathroom stall with a pair of lower legs and feet, one of which is springloaded so it taps. It's a not-so-subtle reference to the Idaho Republican senator, who pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after an undercover police officer arrested him for allegedly soliciting sex in a bathroom stall at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. A Saints press release notes: "It doesn't matter if your tapping style is done with a 'wide stance.'"
it is hard to justify the value of keeping this blog going over the sound of the crickets in here....
I think it's the dumbest thing i've ever seen. not only is it...uh, unsavory and tasteless, it has nothing to do with BASEBALL.
Besides, isn't baseball a sport dad's take their son's to? And isn't collecting bobbleheads, and other baseball related memorabilia supposed to be something for all ages?
You know, fans love their teams, and celebrities to death until they get political, then, we just write them off, just like Americans did with Rosie O'Donnell. Shut up and sing.
this is going to make a great coffee table item for all your wingnut friends when they visit!!
Dumb and useless as far as sports memorabilia goes..."Hey Dad, why are they giving out these things with a guy in a bathroom? Could you explain it to me?" Nice way to start out the first inning with the family eh? Imagine the outrage if they made a bobblehead of black democrat William Jefferson stuffing 100's into his freezer...I can imagine it, looks funny in my head, but I'm guessing it won't be brought up at the next promos meeting in St. Paul.
Hysterical! Great marketing!
Youve got it in one. Coudlnt have put it better.
