Here's a grim sign of the times. A Lacey real estate agent is now leading customers on bus tours of homes in foreclosure. Often times, the houses are still occupied, which seems like it would be a little uncomfortable. But Phil Sharp says he's doing homeowners a favor. Foreclosures are up 50 percent from last year in Thurston County. And nationwide, Washington ranks 26th for the most foreclosures. He says: "For whatever reason they got in trouble - job loss, paid too much, they got in a bad loan, who knows. But they're looking for an out and we're trying to provide it for them." Looks like he's on to something. Since starting this spring, his tours now book up weeks in advance.
I have read some really scaring numbers about foreclosures in US, especially one stating, that in two years almost 10% of population will be coping with foreclosure. I am Vancouver condos realtor and I really can't imagine situation like that in here. It would be complete disaster!
