In the latest filing yesterday over the Sonics' future, team owners allege certain Seattle city officials sabotaged their efforts to get a new arena in Seattle, reports The Oklahoman. According to court papers, the owners claim they discovered Seattle's deputy mayor and certain council members "worked against" the owners last year in Olympia. Lawyers for the owners allege the officials told Washington state lawmakers a new arena in Renton "was not supported by the City."

The news leaves me a little ticked off. Referring to the Times' Sonics' Five Stages of Grief - Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance - I think I'm in the anger stage.

Again the only ones that lose are the fans. But yet all we hear are owners and seattle officials.
