Respected by some, reviled by others, but known to nearly all for his over-the-top movies, filmmaker John Waters (the "Pope of Trash," according to William Burroughs) will be speaking at Benaroya Hall Tuesday night as part of the SIFF. The writer/director of movies such as "Hairspray," "Polyester" and "Cry-Baby" will talk for three hours about his career as a writer, composer, actor and filmmaker. And there's an extra sweet bonus for early attendees: Cupcake Royale will be handing out free baby cupcakes for the first 300 people to arrive, along with their new "Legalize Frostitution" sitckers. Tuesday, June 3rd at 7:30 p.m. Benaroya Hall. For tickets, click here or call (206) 215 - 4747. (Via Seattle MetBlogs and Cakespy)
