The Stranger has confirmed all that chatter about Capitol Hill rock club Chop Suey being sold. A Japanese nightclub known as K's Dream is in the process of acquiring the venue. They're based out of Chiba City, Japan, and their name apparently stands for Kurt's Dream (As in Kurt Cobain). Interesting.

Kurt Cobain is dead. on top of the he was a mediocre guitarist. why is it that the name seattle goes hand in hand with Kurt Cobain? I prefer Hendrix as a Northwest icon.

Nick, you old fart. Cobain was a brilliant lyricist, and in more recent times than Hendrix (the 90's), he was a major force in the flavor of the WORLD'S culture. I'm not about to dis' Hendrix, but you absolutely can not dismiss Cobain as a cultural icon
