Last Saturday, I was among the many fans listening to the rockstar of cooking Anthony Bourdain speak at the Moore. He was awesome, just as sharp, witty and irreverent as he is on TV. We were sitting in the nosebleed section, so unfortunately many of us in the stratosphere couldn't hear where Anthony ate in Seattle. Luckily, Eating Seattle discovered a blog by this guy Larry Jordan who recapped the meal he shared with Anthony Bourdain and others who dished out hundreds of dollars. Dinner was served by Matt Dillon (Sitka & Spruce) and Wylie Bush (Joe Bar) at the Corson Building in South Seattle. The meal was the "maiden dinner" for their new establishment there. Jordan writes that dinner consisted of the following: Fresh Scallops with basil and olive oil
Thinly sliced Serrano Ham
Fresh Peas tossed with a light dressing and sauteed Morels
Argula with sour cherries
Sockeye Salmon with greens and onions
Leg of Lamb with Greek Yogurt
Fresh Strawberries
Jordan also posted several interesting photos of the locale.
Yay, people had a meal!! Yay!!
Thanks for the link, it was a great night and he was very easy to chat with. Told a great story on eating with Ted Nugent for an upcoming show, that should be a real kick.
