Starbucks announced today its plans to close the majority of its stores in Australia, one day before they release the company's quarterly earnings. As Starbucks tries to convince investors and Wall Street analysts they're making smarter business choices, Starbucks Gossip and other bloggers are anticipating a possible 'Black Tuesday' of more layoffs and other cuts, this time targeting executives and support workers at Starbucks' headquarters. UPDATE: Starbucks has dropped the axe and said they're slashing some 1,000 non-store jobs.
