The Capitol Hill Block Party gets started tonight with performances by Common Market, Head Like a Kite and Natalie Portman's Shaved Head (that remains my favorite band name), to name a few. Governor Chris Gregoire will be there to introduce hot rockers Vampire Weekend, according to Times reporter Patrick MacDonald. And Devotchka, the Hold Steady, Menomena and Girl Talk are all on the lineup. You can check out the full schedule for the weekend music festival here.
