That's the question we're asking on a KING5.com poll this morning, in honor of "The Dark Knight" premiere. So far Michael Keaton is running neck-in-neck with Christian Bale (my personal favorite). But nobody seems to like George Clooney as Bruce Wayne.
I haven't seen the new batman yet, but I think that the first Batman was the best. It was fantastic, comic-inspired and out there. Michael Keaton made both characters (Batman and Wayne) believable but imaginative. My opinion might also be swayed that I think Tim Burton is an amazing director for this type of dark film. I think that Bale has done a fantastic job with the role, but I get lost in too much realism and back story with his portrayal.
So put me down for one vote for Michael Keaton.

Outside of the usual entertainment media, the consensus from the general public is that this new movie is a plotless, terribly acted rip-off waste of money and 3 hours of your viewing life, so that tells me I should keep hold of my cash and wait for something else better to come along. No contest. Anyone other than Bale, the crappy Batman.
Come on now!! Christian Bale is the best Batman. And The Dark Knight is the best Batman movie to date!! If you don't like it then go see Kung Fu Panda with the rest of your consensus classmates!
You are so right about that, Main Street Avenger, I cannot begin to tell you. This new movie has to be the poorest movie of the entire series with the obviously poorest actors of the series. Little kids working to market a movie aren't the last of its troubles. This is just a poor movie.
The Dark Knight should have been called The Last Sucker, because that was the last time I get suckered into seeing another bad Batman rip-off!!!! The next Batman movie better be a complete reworking of the character closer to the original... and with good actors!!!!
I'm confused...Consensus? I'm not sure who you've talked to or what you've been reading. I've only seen 3 or 4 fan reviews that were bad. I haven't even seen a critic put a bad review on the movie. The consensus is that most people LOVE this movie. Did you even see the movie? I'm not really a fan of Batman and I loved it. Besides if you go to an action movie expecting Oscar worthy performances I think you've been expecting too much of the wrong genre. With that said Heath Ledger deserves at least a nod because he was amazing. My husband didn't even believe it was the same guy from the HORRIBLE movie A Knight's Tale. In any case. Check again with your census bureau.
I refer you to the imdb.com, where The Dark Knight is rated at 9.7, it's the highest rated movie on the site! This is a site that lists every movie ever made. Does that mean you can't have your opinion? No. But be careful when you start talking about "the general consensus of the puplic", because you are clearly wrong about that.
Christian Bale is the BEST so far.
I think the studio thought so as well having him play Batman again!!!
