The 520 Tolling Implementation Committee has been gathering public comment at a series of public hearings, and the last one is from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at the Mercer Island Community Center. Officials say the bridge needs to be replaced, and they're considering tolls as a way to pay for it. On Tuesday the City Council revealed its recommendation, calling for tolling both I-90 and 520 starting in 2010. Other proposals on the table call for tolling to start as late as 2016.
