Tired of being cast as the stodgy oldster by Apple ads, Microsoft is turning to comedian Jerry Seinfeld for a little help, reports the Wall Street Journal. Microsoft is launching a $300 million ad campaign to spruce up their image, with Seinfeld as one of their pitchmen. Anonymous sources say he'll appear with Bill Gates in some ads and will receive $10 million. Not a bad gig.

I read this article about Microsoft's new ad campaign today in the Wall Street Journal. My initial reaction was sadness as Microsoft has become so reactionary. Apple comes out with a great media blitz years ago and is taking away market share and years later MSFT reacts. Google wins search, MSFT reacts...time to become PROACTIVE.

Well Microsoft does STILL have a 98% market share in computing worldwide. And - we dont use child laborers to code our software, or build our hardware. We dont need to poke fun at our competitors to get that share either. HAIL Microsoft
