The Seattle Times reports that Knox's parents have spent so much on her defense, they're now on the brink of financial ruin. Knox and two men have been in custody since November in the murder of Meredith Kercher, Knox's former roommate. Knox's parents hope she'll be freed after a September 16th hearing, when a judge decides whether to formally indict Knox.
