On July 3, a straddle carrier at the Port of Tacoma's Pierce County terminal hit a power pole, destroying the curb, knocking power out to local buildings and causing a minor oil spill at U.S. Oil and Refining. The incident is currently under investigation, but Port of Tacoma officials want to know how footage of the accident from port security cameras made it onto YouTube. The footage was posted two weeks after the incident and shows the carrier slamming into the pole. "Life comes at you fast, slow down and enjoy it," reads the title caption, while a country singer belts in the background, "We're going to have a good time." So far, the video has gotten 3,661 views. Some members of the Longshore Union aren't happy with the posting, blogs the Biz Buzz, and the port is trying to discern if the tape is public record or evidence in the port's investigation. Check out the clip on YouTube.(Via The News Tribune)
