A local woman who says she found a metal screw in a container of Safeway Select-brand ice cream is suing Safeway. She says it happened two years ago after she bought mint ice cream from the chain's Renton location. While having a spoonful, she bit into the screw and ended up with a mouthful of injuries. Yikes.

This is the first I'vbe heard of this. Was there any contact with a lawyer at all prior to now? Does she have substantial witnesses and dental records showing the damage? Does she still have the screw? Did she ever contact Safeway when it happened? Seems like alot of missing info here.

Sounds like the woman has a srew loose...maybe thats where the screw came from!

Hard to prove something like this 2 years after the fact.

Why would you bite into ice cream? It was two years ago, get over it!

No way. What starving lawyer took on this case? The same one that defended the finger in the Wendy's chili? Hmmm? Remember that one? Yeah?

I just found a screw in Edy's Mint Brownie ice-cream. I looked on the internet to see if it happened to someone else. As far as biting into ice cream, if it has chunks of chocolate, you'll bite. I'm glad I didn't bite down hard. I can certainly see how someone could injured though
