Ballard institution Archie McPhee announced it was moving a few weeks ago, and today My Ballard blog has the scoop on where the toy shop is headed. Look for them to open at the NE corner of Stone Way and 45th in Wallingford. The move should happen next year.
Let me guess-
The reason they are moving is because the property that they currently operate in is going to be redeveloped? Into condos with street-level retail, possibly?
Maybe a little coffee shop on the corner, with a nail shop, a salon, and a thai restaurant to fill out the other retail spots?
Avocado-painted corrugated siding and 6-inch balconies?
A nice Euro-sounding name like 'LeMerde'?
