My Ballard today blogs that the quirky toy shop Archie McPhee will be moving in the next several months. While the store is committed to staying in Seattle, a spokesperson tells the blog that they'll probably be leaving Ballard, saying: "The owner decided not to renew our lease ... We have a couple options (to move), but unfortunately none are in Ballard." I wonder where they'll end up reopening. South Lake Union, perhaps?
I LOVE ARCHIE McPHEE!!!!!! Do let us know where they move to----Ballard fit them so well! They should move to the San Juan Islands---maybe Lopez---it's quirky enough for them...
Just goes to show you how much Ballard is changing, and not for the good.
I hope they don't go too far! I've been going to Archie McPhee since they were on Stone Way closer to Wallingford. Ballard will never be the same without them. :(
