Pike Place Market officials confirm Joe Canavan of World Class Chili has died, blogs Devouring sEATtle. Canavan and his chili has been a Seattle legend and mainstay of the market since 1986. oh that is sad news and my thoughts go out to his family, friends and co-workers. This was the only place to get cincinnati chili in seattle :(
I remember him from when I use to work at the Pike Place Market doing security work. I use to see him on a daily basis for several years. He always waved to me and smiled when I came through the building where his chili business was located. I am sorry to hear that he has passed away.
