If you've ever wondered about the risk of drinking eggnog, check out this post from the Seattle P-I. Blogger Rebeka Denn looks into the matter, and digs up this quote fro the Egg Nutrition Center: "A person who eats a raw egg every day would encounter a contaminated egg once in 55 years." She's in favor of using locally grown eggs, so you can talk to the farmers and producers about the risk. But will adding booze help kill any bacteria? NPR was there when some scientists put the theory to the test.
