Gong Hay Fat Choy! (Rough translation: Happy and Prosperous (Lunar) New Year). Those born in the Year of the Ox are "patient, speak little, and inspire confidence in others," according to the Chinese Culture Center in San Francisco. They also, however, tend to also be eccentric and have fierce tempers, but are generally easy-going. For those wanting to celebrate the Year of the Ox, Seattle's Chinatown-International Distrist will be hosting new year's festivities this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out the official schedule of events, which includes the traditional lion and dragon dances, martial arts demonstrations, music, arts, food and much more.
