I'm fairly new to the whole Twitter community, but in just a short time I've become hooked. And during a webinar this morning I learned about a ton of Twitter-related Web sites and programs that allow you to delve even deeper into the Twitter world. First there's Twist, which tracks trends on Twitter - like what people are most talking about. Twittersheep shows you more about your Twitter followers by searching your list of subscribers and producing a tag cloud with words that describe them (mine are Seattle, news and computing). And then there is Gigatweet, which computes the number of Tweets being sent out every day. Twello is apparently like a giant Twitter phone book. And Twitbin, which a coworker just showed me, allows you to follow Twitter on a sidebar on your browser. Are there any other great "twapplications" I'm missing?
Twitter is tough enough to walk away from, now more good stuff to explore ;-) I'll be trying these out for sure. Thanks for the post!
Check out TwitDeck. It lets you divide those you follow into groups. Very helpful if you follow a bunch of folks. Mine are divided into friends, bloggers, Mac people and designers I follow. It's free and beeps when someone new tweets.
I think the person above means Tweetdeck. Twhirl is also pretty good and allows mulitple accounts as well as other SN stuff like Seesmic and Friendfeed.
Thanks - I'll check out Tweetdeck and Twhirl.
