I guess it was only a matter of time, in this economy, before Starbucks would come up with its own version of the value meal. The battle for coffee drinkers has gotten more fierce, with McDonald's and Dunkin' Donuts recently launching aggressive campaigns of their lower-priced specialty drinks. While no details have been released, Starbucks Chief Executive Howard Schultz described the development to investors last week as "several breakfast pairings" at "attractive" prices.
