This photo of 16-month-old Ava Lystad just won the grand prize in a Hallmark Mother's Day greeting card contest. Her parents Hailey and Caleb, of Lakebay, Wash., took the picture when Ava was just 4-months-old."One night her dad had given her a bath so we got the blow-dryer out just to see what would happen 'cause she had a lot of hair," Hailey told KING 5. The card had this greeting: "Being a mom is hard work. It can make your hair stand on end. Happy Mother's Day!" It was one of the company's best-selling Mother's Day cards this year, and even sold out early. The Lystads won $2,500. Judging is currently under way on a Father's Day card contest.

I love this happy story. Ava is such a cutie, and even moreso with her hair combed down:) It was a delight to see her and her parents on the news, she truly is a beautiful child, and I think they should have got more from Hallmark, and Hallmark should have made more of AVA's cards, if I could still get one I'd go to Hallmark and buy one for my Mom, she would get many happy smiles from looking at it.
