A Madrona resident sent in this photo of a plant that bloomed in his yard this spring. Shawn Lawlor says his roommate did some research, and discovered it may be a Corpse Plant, which is rare and known for its stinky smell. One garnered media attention when it bloomed in Volunteer Park last year. More pictures are posted after the jump.

Is it? I'll send this person a note... I just looked up images of a dragon flower and it does look like one!

I have one of these in my backyard, Absolutely gorgeous plant but it had my neighbor in his backyard looking for a dead rat a few years back.

I have a patch of these in my yard. Not so rare. They have a mild rotting flesh odor.

I love the smell of rotting flesh. Where do I get one?

We have one in our ballard yard. It just appeared we never planted it.
