Seattle has its own
"Julie & Julia" style cooking blogger, and she's a lot more inspiring than the gal in the new Amy Adams/ Meryl Streep movie. Kari Brunson, who blogs at
Anticiplate.com and
Summer Spoon, has
just left a successful career a dancer for Pacific Northwest Ballet to pursue a career in the culinary arts. The 26-year-old has been learning the trade this summer during an internship at an Ethan Stowell restaurant, and has documented the experience on her blog
Summer Spoon. She's got another gig (albeit unpaid) lined up with Stowell, where she'll spend a month in each of his restaurants with hopes of learning enough to get a cooking job. It looks like she's got a bright future ahead of her. On her blog
she writes about her decision to leave the ballet, and says:
"I didn't know if I would feel lost, like I was losing a part of myself to dethrone myself from the ballet world. But, I have only felt liberated and excited for what is next." This photo of Kari is from her Summer Spoon blog. And check out the fun photo of Kari in a tutu, sitting in a stock pot on the
SeattlePI.com today.
Cars and houses are expensive and not every person can buy it. However, loans are created to help people in such kind of situations.
Different people in the world get the loan from various banks, just because it's simple and comfortable.
