wta-trail-work.jpgIf you like hiking the myriad forest and mountain trails our region has to offer, lace up your boots and join a volunteer work party this weekend.

The weather should be reasonably decent, so it'll be a great excuse to get outdoors.

Even better, by working on the trails, you can get free stuff, including soda and cookies while you work. Show up at enough work parties and you'll get a personalized Washington Trails Association hard hat and REI fleece "trail crew" vest.

There is also the potential for intangible benefits, like learning new skills and meeting new friends.
