Time is flyin by. Folks are already submitting Christmas themed events to our events calendar, and we haven't even gotten past Halloween and Thanksgiving. I say it's time to slow down, and enjoy the onset of fall. And this weekend you can do just that in Fremont, for the 13th annual Oktoberfest. USA Today has named Fremont one of the top 10 places to celebrate the event. In addition to 70 microbrews on tap, three beer gardens, a chainsaw pumpkin carving contest (!), and a fun run, this year there is a Simpsons theme. The event is the West Coast host for the 20th year celebration of The Simpsons. According to a press release, Seattle holds the highest Simpsons viewing records in the nation. Who knew?
