Capitol Hill is Having an Art Party on June 11

The Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce is bringing together artists and businesses to introduce a new event to Seattle called Blitz. Businesses in the neighborhood will feature visual artists, musicians, dancers, actors and performance artists in their shops. Capitol Hill's "Art Party" will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. next week and the event will continue on the second Thursday of each month.

At 6:30, Blitz they are planning an 'All-Invited Art-on-a-Stick Parade.' The parade begins on Broadway Avenue at Seattle Central Community College. A performance by double-dutch jump rope team, On the Double, will kick off the parade from the college campus. Anyone can join in and present their art to the public. The parade will follow along a route of businesses participating in Blitz. Art-on-a-Stick ends at Electric Tea Garden, where the artwork will be displayed.
