Big city violance

Guns and gang bangers, Crack and meth.
If some base head breaks my car window, how do I cope?...
Seattle has had a very violent week end drive by shootings seven people wounded and the long hot summer is no where near over. I grew up in Seattle spent most of my adult life here and I have not ever seen so much concentrated violence according to what I read see and hear in the mass media. The media may be part of the problem, the gang culture loves publicity and the media serves it up with relish. We don't need story's of blood and violence we need information. We have to find out what makes gang bangers gang bangers. We need editorials That are pro funding of education and creation of positive club like environments, not the lock em up forever rhetoric.
I don't live in the big city anymore not so much that I am afraid it's the cost what was a $100. apartment in 1976 is a $1000. apartment today, more uncontrolled, growth more poverty, more crime, more drugs We are not talking about Marijuana here make no mistake crack and meth are the main drugs of gang violence I can' imagine anyone smoking pot and then wanting to go out on a drive by. But I can see why any police officer would rather bust pot smokers.
The crime spreads from the big city. We have been having a problem with car prowls in our area. I don't think there are many gangs up here maybe some wannabes but who am I to judge the way a person dresses or looks. I do know we have crack heads and crack dealers. We live in a neighborhood of seniors so it should be safe its not, not at all we are sitting ducks the base heads around here no we are to old to run and catch them if w2e call 911 the assholes are gone before they get here so we have to sit and worry one of us has to stay home all the time for fear of a break in or harm to our cat.
... Stay armed stay safe. I have never owned or carried a handgun I can't think of a reason I should how would that protect me I could add to the problem by blowing some teen aged base head away. Boy would that make me feel good and safe and some other good citizen might shoot me in the heat of t he battle. no we don't need more guns. Gun nuts are just that nuts, weather they are crips bloods crack heads or just nut heads. I believe all guns should be melted down..
