The Harvest Festival at Cave B Estate Winery

In celebration of fall harvest season, Cave B Estate Winery will host the annual Harvest Festival on the third weekend of October, featuring a variety of wine experiences and family fun activities. This is a free event, open to the general public. All attendees are invited to participate in any or all of the following activities:

On Friday, October 15, Cave B Estate Winery will host a five-course Winemaker's Dinner prepared by Tendrils Executive Chef Joe Ritchie and paired with Cave B Estate wines. The five-course dinner is $75 per person. To view the complete menu, please visit www.caveb.com.

Throughout festival day on Saturday, October 16 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., special guest and wine expert Amy Mumma of Central Washington University's World Wine Program will lead interactive wine seminars, Cave B Winemaker Freddy Arredondo will lead hands-on wine making activities and Tendrils Executive Chef will host cooking demonstrations. In addition, special guest author Cole Danehower will be conducting demonstrations and signing his new book Essential Wines and Wineries of the Pacific Northwest. Slated for release in August 2010, Danehower's new book profiles the wines, people and wine countries of the Northwest.

Other activities on festival day include a grape stomping competition, tractor-driven hay rides, orchard tours, apple cider making in an old fashion apple press, caramel apple making, cookie decorating, pumpkin carving, kid's crafts and music. A barbecue lunch will be available for purchase in the piazza, and Tendrils restaurant will feature a special harvest menu.

On Sunday, October 17, Tendrils Vineyard Restaurant will offer a Vineyard Brunch, followed by a wine toast in the Cave B Estate Winery Cellar.

Festival activities are free. The wine tasting is $6 per person. The barbeque lunch is $15 per person; children ages 6-12 are $7 and children 5 and under are $5. Cave B Inn at SageCliffe will feature special room rates of $250 per night for Harvest Festival weekend, offering guests the chance to take advantage of all the family fun activities.
